AI Quizzes & Flashcards ("the app", "we", "our") is a free AI-powered learning application. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over your data.
1. Data We Collect
Account information: Your email address and display name when you create an account or sign in with Google.
User-generated content: The topics you enter, the AI-generated courses and flashcard decks stored under your account, and any PDF documents you upload to generate learning content. PDFs are transmitted to Google Gemini for processing and are not stored by us.
Ticket balance: A numeric counter reflecting your in-app ticket balance.
App preferences: Theme (dark/light) and language — stored locally on your device only and never uploaded to our servers.
Contact form submissions: If you use the contact or account-deletion form, we collect your name, email address, and message text. This is transmitted via Resend (see Section 3) and delivered to our inbox. We do not store form submissions in a database.
Device identifiers: Firebase automatically generates a unique Firebase Installation ID to identify your app instance. This ID is used for authentication and data storage. Your Advertising ID (Android GAID or iOS IDFA) may also be collected when you interact with rewarded video ads through AdMob.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect analytics or usage-tracking events.
We do not collect crash reports.
We do not collect your location, contacts, microphone, or camera data.
We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
3. Third-Party Services
Firebase (Google LLC): Used for authentication (Firebase Auth), cloud storage of your courses and flashcards (Firestore), and server-side AI generation (Cloud Functions). Firebase automatically generates a unique Installation ID to identify your app instance. See Firebase Privacy Policy.
Google AdMob: Rewarded video ads are shown when you opt in to earn tickets. AdMob may collect device identifiers and ad-interaction data. See Google Privacy Policy.
Google Gemini API: When you create a course or flashcard set, your topic text or uploaded PDF is sent server-side to Gemini to generate content. This data is processed temporarily and is not stored by Google beyond the API call under standard usage terms.
Resend (Resend Inc.): Used to deliver messages submitted through our contact and account-deletion forms to our inbox. Your name, email address, and message are transmitted through Resend's servers. See Resend Privacy Policy.
4. How We Use Your Data
To authenticate you and maintain your account.
To store and retrieve your courses and flashcard decks.
To process AI generation requests on your behalf.
To track your ticket balance and ad-reward history.
5. Cookies & Local Storage
The app itself does not use cookies. Our hosted web pages (privacy policy, contact, and account-deletion pages) do not set any first-party cookies or tracking pixels. However, Firebase Hosting and Google services may set functional cookies or use local storage as part of their infrastructure. No advertising cookies are used on our web pages.
6. Data Location
Your personal data is stored in Google Firebase infrastructure, which operates data centres primarily in the United States and the European Union (our Cloud Functions are deployed in europe-west1 — Belgium). Firebase applies Google's standard security and data-protection practices. For more details see the Firebase Privacy Policy.
7. Data Retention
Your account data (courses, flashcards, ticket balance) is retained until you delete your account. Local preferences are removed when you uninstall the app. You can submit a deletion request at any time — see Section 8.
8. Your Rights & Account Deletion
You may request deletion of all your data at any time through our account deletion page. We will process your request within 30 days.
9. Users of All Ages
AI Quizzes & Flashcards is for all ages. Users under 13 should register with a parent or guardian's assistance. We do not use data for advertising profiling. Parents can request data deletion via our account deletion page.
10. Data Security
All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Data stored in Firebase is encrypted at rest by default. No unencrypted transfer of personal data takes place.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
